What is a Superbill?
At Speech and Smile Therapy Services, we make it easy to get reimbursed for your speech therapy sessions. While we do not bill insurance directly, we accept all insurance plans by providing you with a Superbill—a detailed invoice containing the information your insurance provider needs for reimbursement.
A Superbill includes:
~Diagnostic and treatment codes (ICD-10 and CPT codes)
~Your speech-language pathologist’s (SLP) and/or Occupational Therapist’s (OT) name, NPI and license number
~Dates of each session
~Amount you paid for services
~Address, EIN, and NPI numbers of Speech and Smile
*It is recommended that you contact your insurance provider to verify if they accept out-of-network Superbills for speech and/or occupational therapy. Once confirmed, we provide Superbills on a monthly basis, making it easier for you to submit for reimbursement.
What is a Superbill and How Does it Help?
A Superbill is a formal document provided by healthcare providers that allows patients to seek reimbursement from their insurance company for out-of-network services. Since Speech and Smile is considered an out-of-network provider (at this time), a Superbill is essential for helping you receive partial or full reimbursement for your therapy costs. You can submit the Superbill to your insurance provider as frequently as necessary (monthly or at the end of treatment) to receive compensation for out-of-pocket expenses. All of your therapy details are clearly documented, helping you stay organized and informed about your care.
